Pipes come in a wide variety of types, mainly categorized into plastics pipes, metal pipes, and composite pipes. Plastic pipes, such as PVC pipes, are often used in drainage systems due to their excellent insulation and corrosion resistance; PPR pipes are commonly used in hot water supply systems for their superior heat resistance. Metal pipes, such as steel pipes, are used in high-pressure fluid transport and building structures because of their high strength and pressure resistance. Composite pipes, such as aluminum-plastic composite pipes, combine the advantages of both metals and plastics, making them suitable for both water supply systems and gas transportation. When selecting pipes, factors such as the application environment, required pressure resistance, fluid properties, and cost must be considered. In short, appropriate pipes should be selected based on specific needs and conditions.
